People living in 31 areas should consider preparing an emergency flood kit and essential items as the Met Office has issued several weather warnings for Saturday, Sunday and Monday
Brits living in 31 areas might want to consider preparing an 'emergency' kit this weekend, the Met Office says.
The national weather agency has issued five separate warnings covering parts of England, Scotland , Wales and Northern Ireland across Saturday, Sunday and Monday. All are yellow-level warnings for rain , with millions at risk from flooding and power cuts.
Each of the warnings says people should prepare a "flood plan" and an "emergency flood kit". Brits are also urged to get ready for power cuts by gathering "torches and batteries, a mobile phone power pack and other essential items".
