HAYSVILLE, Kan. (KAKE) - The Kansas Department of Health and Environment has rescinded a stream advisory for the Big Ditch in the Haysville area.
The KDHE said the advisory was the result of a sanitary sewer overflow in Haysville and that the city has repaired the issue. Water sampling indicates that bacteria and contaminant levels are within the normal range.
The MS Mitch Mitchell Floodway is safe for primary contact and livestock use.
