Two boys were arrested by officers after a police helicopter helped track them down.

One suspect was held on suspicion of burglary, theft of motor vehicle, dangerous driving, failing to stop and having no insurance. A second was arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle.

Images posted by Greater Manchester Police appear to show officers using a stinger device yesterday (Dec 11) on Shaw Road in Oldham to stop a Mazda car. On X, officers manning the GMP Oldham account said: "Following a 5-minute pursuit in Oldham yesterday, we arrested two boys with the assistance of a police helicopter.
