INDIANAPOLIS — Colts All-Pro cornerback Sauce Gardner will miss his second consecutive game Sunday as the Colts square off with the Seattle Seahawks , Colts coach Shane Steichen said Friday, leaving the Colts without both their starting cornerbacks against the top receiver in the league.
Gardner suffered a calf injury just two plays into the Colts’ Week 13 home game with the Texans , forcing defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo to hand off lead duties of guarding Houston’s top wideout Nico Collins, who went on to gain 98 yards on five catches, to fellow All-Pro corner Charvarius Ward. Ward gave up six catches for 112 yards that game when he was the nearest defender in coverage to Texans receivers as he continued to find his footing two games back from going on IR for his secon
