CABELL COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A portion of U.S. Route 60 in the Ona area of Cabell County was closed late Thursday night following a deadly single-vehicle crash, according to the West Virginia Division of Highways.

The crash was reported shortly before 10 p.m. near the intersection of U.S. 60 and Riverwalk Drive.

Officials said one vehicle was involved in the incident, and one person was pronounced dead at the scene.

As a result of the crash, U.S. 60 East was closed in the affected area to allow emergency crews and investigators to respond and clear the scene.

The duration of the closure was not immediately released.

No additional details about the victim or the cause of the crash were available. Authorities are continuing to investigate the incident.
