The Marlins left the Winter Meetings without conducting much business, but on Friday, the club agreed to a one-year deal with infielder/outfielder Christopher Morel , a source told MLB.com's Christina De Nicola. The club has not confirmed.
Traded to the Rays from the Cubs during the 2024 Deadline, Morel played in 154 games, producing a slash line of .208/.277/.355 with 14 homers and 42 RBIs with Tampa Bay. The 26-year-old was not tendered a contract by the Rays after the season and became a free agent.
