Oakland Co. commissioners ask state to pass financial disclosure legislation

The Oakland County Board of Commissioners voted Thursday to support state legislation that it says would establish "a uniform financial disclosure policy."

Oakland County Executive Dave Coulter proposed a financial disclosure policy for county elected officials and senior appointees in October. But the county has since learned that it lacks statutory and constitutional authority to require it, he said.
