Jim Ross shared his concern for Darby Allin following the star’s recent injury and withdrawal from the Continental Classic tournament. Ross agreed with a recent comment made by Allin that AEW management is actively trying to prevent him from taking unnecessary risks.

“I heard an interview earlier today of Darby on the radio saying he feels amazing. He feels fantastic, but AEW has still not cleared him to perform, so he’s going to be replaced in the Continental Classic,” Conrad Thompson said. “But what I loved about this interview I heard with Darby is he said something along the lines of AEW is protecting me from myself right now”.

Ross responded by acknowledging that Allin is not the first wrestler to need protection from his own reckless ambition.
