T.J. Watt’s lung issue was bad enough that it required surgery that will likely keep him out for Monday night’s game against the Dolphins.
After the Steelers star pass rusher was hospitalized with a partially collapsed lung on Thursday , Watt underwent surgery and he is expected to be discharged from the hospital as of Friday, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported .
Watt’s brother, J.J., provided further insight on what went wrong in Pittsburgh.
“Yesterday TJ had successful surgery to stabilize and repair a partially collapsed lung suffered Wednesday after a dry needling treatment session at the facility,” JJ wrote on X. “Recovery timeline is still TBD, but all went well and he is being released from the hospital today.
