SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - Due to the Women’s and Children’s expansion at Avera McKennan Hospital, a portion of the drive to the main entrance will be closed from Dec. 15–20.

“We understand that this closure will result in some minor inconvenience for people arriving at Avera McKennan; we hope the measures we have taken with signage and staff to direct traffic will help minimize any confusion so our patients and guests can continue to easily navigate our campus,” said Julie Ward, Vice President for Administrative Services at Avera McKennan.

Drivers on Cliff Avenue should turn west onto 23rd Street, south of the Prairie Center, and follow detour signs to the main entrance.

Valet parking will still be available for patients using the detour route.
