A Carroll County paralegal has been charged with violations of the Maryland Consumer Protection Act for the unauthorized practice of law .
The Maryland Office of the Attorney General (OAG) on Dec. 8 charged Intrepid Paralegal Solutions (IPS) and its owner, Daniel Dwight Manoff, with unfair and deceptive trade practices for providing unauthorized legal services to pro se litigants and for deceptive billing practices.
Manoff, who lives in Westminster and works in Eldersburg, conducted most of Intrepid Paralegal Solutions’ business online, providing services to litigants representing themselves in a wide array of subject matters — including bankruptcy, immigration, family law and criminal law — across the country.
