Ring the bells! Detroit Public Theatre’s “Holiday Cabaret” has returned for its third romp and is better than ever.

Improved over shows of the last two years with three new cast members and a new slate of songs, “Holiday Cabaret” feels fresh, free and fun. It’s packed with a whopping 17 full songs from standards like “Silent Night” and “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” (in a lovely, Manhattan Transfer-esque arrangement) to super-raunchy numbers whose titles I won’t mention here.
