Many families hold fast to holiday traditions, whether it’s a quiet retreat to the mountains or a plane trip across the country for a raucous affair with relatives. Christmas Day in a national park

The High season for visiting national parks is typically the summer. But if you’re ever close enough to Colorado’s Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park in the winter, it’s well worth a visit.
