LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Lincoln Fire and Rescue responded to a report of a building fire in north Lincoln just after 10 p.m. Thursday.

The call came in for the Super 8 hotel near 27th Street and Cornhusker Highway.

An LFR spokeswoman said crews responded to an alarm and evacuated the building. There were no injuries.

The source of the fire was a water heater in a maintenance room that was smoking, according to LFR. Some of its internal components were burned, but that was the extent of the damage.

Crews later ventilated the building, and everyone was able to go back inside.

LFR has not yet released damage estimates or determined the cause.
