GREENVILLE, S.C. - The suspect accused of threatening Republican U.S. Rep. Nancy Mace appeared in circuit court on Friday to request bond for a third time.
Roxie Wolfe, whose legal name is Samuel Cain, is charged with threatening the life of a public official after admitting to posting a message about Mace on X, officials said.
The post on X said, “I am going to assassinate [Mace] with a gun and I’m being 100% dead***.”
Wolfe’s request for bond was denied again on Friday, Dec. 12.
In court, the judge said there hasn’t been another case like this one in Greenville County and his decision was based in part on the current political climate. Wolfe was also deemed to be a danger to the community.
