YORK — Local policymakers met in York County on Wednesday evening to discuss an issue affecting the bottom line of many Virginia households.

Freedom Virginia, an advocacy organization, held the first of several forums it is hosting across the state to address affordability, and invited local community leaders to weigh in at the Yorktown Library.

A panel addressed a range of topics surrounding the high costs of day-to-day items and focused on several key areas, including housing, energy and health care.
