GRAND RAPIDS, MI – Thanksgiving weekend saw eight teams celebrate state championships at Ford Field, meaning it’s awards season for Michigan’s 2025 high school football campaign.
The Michigan High School Football Coaches Association released 11 all-state teams, ranging from Division 1 to 8-player Division 2, while the Michigan Associated Press recognized the top performers in Divisions 1-2, 3-4, 5-6, 7-8 and 8-player.
The Grand Rapids area was well-represented, with 41 players earning a spot from the coaches or the AP, including five who were first-team picks from both outlets. West Catholic offensive lineman Jacob Timmer took the top honor among local athletes by being named the Associated Press Player of the Year for Division 5-6.
