GRANGER, Ind. (WNDU) - A Notre Dame fan has turned her frustration over the team’s College Football Playoff snub into a fundraising effort for the university’s athletics program.
Katie Bell created shirts that say “Catholics vs. Committee” as a play on the controversial “Catholics vs. Convicts” slogan. Bell said she was angry about Notre Dame being excluded from the playoffs after what she felt were misleading signals from the selection committee.
“I was very angry that they were snubbed from the playoffs. I felt like we were led on the believe over five weeks that if we won we were in,” Bell said.
What started as a small local sale has grown beyond Bell’s expectations.
