United States President Donald Trump on Friday said Thailand and Cambodia have agreed to renew their ceasefire, days after deadly border clashes had threatened to undo the truce between the two nations.

The Trump -led administration had helped broker a ceasefire between both sides earlier this year.

Trump announced the decision by both countries to return to the original ceasefire agreement in a post on Truth Social. Trump said that Thailand and Cambodia had agreed to “cease all shooting effective this (Friday) evening, and go back to the original peace accord made with me, and them, with the help of the Great Prime Minister of Malaysia,
