Renowned voice actor Jim Ward, known for his work in Nickelodeon’s “The Fairly OddParents,” has died at 66.
Ward died due to complications from Alzheimer’s disease, his agent, Arlene Thornton, told USA Today.
“His ability to improvise on the spot, as well as his dead-on impressions, were beyond impressive,” Thornton said in a statement sent to USA Today. “He was a one-man comedy show every time he came to the office to do his auditions. We will miss him dearly, and we will never forget the joy he brought to our lives on a daily basis.”
Ward was a prominent voice actor whose work spanned several television, film and video game franchises.
He was best known for portraying several characters across 95 episodes of “The Fairly OddParents,” notably voicing Doug Dimmadome and Chet Ubetcha.
