PHOENIX (AZFamily) — As we finish up the second week of December, it’s like, okay, this is pretty nice weather. It’s what the folks back in the day used to call “Chamber of Commerce” weather. And in recent memory, it doesn’t seem like we’ve had this warm a start to December in a while.

So we checked the records and were reminded how funny memory works when we’re talking about the weather. Last year, the first 11 days of December were a lot warmer than this year. And this year ranks way down the list, around 30th, for the warmest starts to the month.

That said, this warm weather is going to continue into next week, with a possible cool-down starting Christmas week. But we won’t be surprised if that cool-down is minimal. The weather pattern is stable right now.
