AUSTIN, Texas (WKOW) — Wisconsin volleyball punched their ticket Friday to the Regional Final after securing their first-ever win against Stanford, 3 sets to 1, in the Semifinal at the historic Gregory Gym.
Mimi Colyer led the No. 3 Badgers with 27 kills, eclipsing 2,000 career kills in the match. Colyer also registered 10 digs.
Senior Carter Booth had 14 kills, while Una Vajagic added 13 with 11 digs.
The Badgers won the first set 25-17. Stanford answered, winning the second set, 25-21. Wisconsin took the next two, 25-23 and 25-22. The triumph marks the Badgers' 12th straight win.
Elia Rubin led Stanford with 15 kills.
Wisconsin will play No. 1 Texas in the Regional Final on Sunday.
