TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - Newly released video shows the dramatic rescue of an injured hiker in the Catalina Mountains.
In a post to X, the Chief Patrol Agent for the Tucson Sector of the Border Patrol shared the video of an agent assisting the Arizona Department of Public Safety in the rescue.
The incident began when a AZDPS Ranger Helicopter crew received a 911 call about an injured hiker stranded on a steep rock face in the Catalina Mountains.
This happened December 7.
The AZDPS helicopter crew, along with the agent, located and rescued the hiker, who had sustained injuries from a fall.
The helicopter crew transported the injured hiker to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
