OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - The University of Nebraska Omaha says its athletics department is now opting into the terms of a House case settlement.
The opt-in is in effect for the 2026-2027 academic year.
Earlier this year, UNO had made the decision to not opt-in for the initial year of the settlement. That decision had only affected the current 2025-2026 calendar.
The House case allows universities to directly pay student athletes through revenue sharing.
UNO’s move comes just a week after regents approved a $67.5 million project for new athletics facilities.
