CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Guardians are quietly assembling a bullpen that could double as a basketball roster. In their latest move, Cleveland signed ex-Pirates right-hander Colin Holderman to a $1.5 million one-year deal, continuing a clear pattern in their relief pitcher acquisitions this offseason.
“Six foot six, 230 pounds, throws about 97 miles an hour, sinker, slider, cutter. He fits the mold, is the way to say it. Right up there with Hunter Gaddis, Cade Smith and newly signed Connor Brogdon, who’s also 6 foot 6.
