GEORGE COUNTY, Miss. (WLOX) - On Thursday night, the George County Sheriff’s Office (GCSO) responded to a report of two volunteer firefighters interfering with an emergency medical response.

GCSO Chief Deputy Dominique Tanner said a single vehicle crash was reported around 5:45 p.m. on Highway 63 near the Central community. Tanner said Ameripro Ambulance Service was attempting to life-flight the crash victim when two responding volunteer firefighters interfered with the operation.

According to Tanner, deputies made contact with Bexley volunteer firefighters Mark Wilson, 67, and Kathleen Wilson, 60. Tanner said during the investigation, both were found to be under the influence of alcohol.
