The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a large-scale counterfeit merchandise operation after hundreds of fake luxury items were seized from a distribution center in Madisonville.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, investigators were contacted in late October to early November 2025 by a private investigative company contracted by several high-end brands, including Louis Vuitton, Prada, and Coach. The company had been tracking an online retailer known as The Luxe Closet since November 2023 for allegedly selling counterfeit, or “dupe,” luxury goods.
