MARCOLA, Ore. - Lane County Sheriff's detectives uncovered on Tuesday a hazardous illegal operation in Marcola involving BHO extraction and psilocybin product manufacturing, according to the Lane County Sheriff's Office.
LCSO officials said that a search warrant was executed on Dec. 9 at the 95100 block of Hazel Lane. Several clandestine labs were found in outbuildings on the property. The operation posed significant risks due to hazardous electrical wiring, chemicals, and pressurized systems.
Mohawk Valley Rural Fire District and Eugene Springfield Fire's HAZMAT crew were called to ensure the safety of law enforcement on the scene. James Joseph Love, 51, is currently in custody at Lane County Jail on a parole violation, with additional charges pending.
