After Michigan fired Sherrone Moore, Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer emerged as a potential candidate for the job while the Crimson Tide prepares for a College Football Playoff game.

DeBoer has been a name floated in multiple coaching searches, including Penn State, though there has never been any reported traction in a deal progressing.
