PULLMAN, Wash. — The Washington State Cougars have a new head football coach, according to reports.
Sources say Missouri Offensive Coordinator Kirby Moore will be WSU's next football coach.
The Prosser, Washington, native used to play wide receiver for Boise State and was the old offensive coordinator for Fresno State.
During his time in Columbia, Missouri, Moore led the Tigers to the sixth highest total yardage in the SEC this season.
The hiring of Moore comes after Jimmy Rogers left the Cougs to take the head coaching job at Iowa State.
WSU is slated to play in the Idaho Potato Bowl against Utah State on December 22.
Moore's brother is Kellen Moore, a Boise State football legend and current head coach of the New Orleans Saints in the NFL.
