KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - One worker died and another was critically injured after they got stuck in a trench collapse at Big Ridge State Park on Thursday, according to Maynardville Mayor Ty Blakely.

One worker was rescued around 1:20 p.m. and was flown to University of Tennessee Medical Center in critical condition. The search for the second worker eventually turned into a recovery mission. He was found dead at around 5:52 p.m.
