Rocky Mountain College, Mont. – The Rocky Mountain College community is grieving the loss of Nila Dawson and her mother due to a violent incident. Nila, a junior majoring in biology and psychology from Nye, Montana, was a cherished part of the campus.
Nila had aspirations to become a Physician Assistant. The college extends its condolences to the Dawson family and wishes Nila's father a swift recovery. The tragedy has deeply affected her friends, classmates and the entire community.
According to the Rocky Mountain College , a vigil to honor Nila's life will be held on Tuesday, December 16, at 4:30 p.m. in Fraley Lounge. Additionally, a campus memorial service is planned for the start of the spring semester. The college encourages community members to attend these events.
