DULUTH, Minn. (Northern News Now) - Police were called around 8:40 a.m. Friday after the Center for Alcohol and Drug Treatment (CADT) leaders said a possible explosive device was found in a bag belonging to a client who lives at the Howard Friese Home near N. 15th Ave. E. in Duluth’s Endion neighborhood.
Community members in that neighborhood were left asking questions after the 148th bomb squad was called in for those potential explosives found in the basement of the Howard Friese Home.
Duluth Police have now confirmed that while it was not dynamite found in a Duluth home Friday, the bomb squad did locate some level of explosive-type compound used in commercial grade fireworks.
