Dodgers' new closer Edwin Diaz reveals his plans for Timmy Trumpet entrance song
Edwin Diaz was already popular with the New York Mets by the time he started entering games to his now-famed Timmy Trumpet song.
The tune didn't hurt, though. Every Diaz appearance became an event.
Diaz isn't with the Mets anymore, though. He has signed with the Los Angeles Dodgers in free agency for three years and $69 million.
At his introductory press conference, naturally, Diaz was asked about the song.
It's staying.
Edwin Díaz said he will keep his Timmy Trumpet walk-out song. Said he can't wait for the first time he hears it at Dodger Stadium
Brandon Gomes hinted they might already be thinking about a bobblehead for it, too — Jack Harris (@ByJackHarris) December 12, 20
