HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Roads are reopened after a contractor working for the Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation (HART) struck a lateral gas line Friday.

According to HART leadership, they were working near Dillingham Boulevard and Kokea Street.

The contractor followed all protocols and notified Hawaii Gas, the Honolulu Fire Department, and the Honolulu Police Department, said HART.

HFD responded at around 11:30 a.m. while police shut down Dillingham Boulevard in both directions between Kokea Street and Alakawa Street.

Roads were reopened at around 2 p.m.

No one was hurt or evacuated.
