BUFFALO, N.Y. — Through its mobile screening program known as EDDY — Early Detection Driven to You — Roswell Park is bringing life-saving cancer screenings directly to the community.

One of the people grateful she took advantage of that opportunity is a woman well known to generations of Buffalonians.

A life in motion — and an unexpected diagnosis

Barbara Glover has spent nearly her entire life dancing — and teaching others to do the same.

“I spent my life dancing, teaching dance,” Glover said.

Her Miss Barbara’s School of Dance has been a community fixture for 57 years. Active, engaged, and deeply involved in volunteer work and her church, cancer was never something she thought she would face.
