HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- An Alief ISD school was placed on lockdown Friday afternoon after multiple people called 911 to report a shooter on campus, says the district.
The first call reporting a person with a gun at O'Donnell Middle School came into 911 dispatchers just before 3:30 p.m., Alief ISD wrote in a letter sent home to parents.
Multiple agencies descended on the campus including the Harris County Sheriff's Office and Houston Police Department along with paramedics.
Alief ISD says there was a "thorough investigation, both inside and outside the building," and no credible threat was found. The lockdown was lifted and students were dismissed as scheduled.
