MANCHESTER, N.H. —
Bruna Ferreira says she was on her way to pick up her 11-year-old son at school last month when she was approached by immigration agents.
"A swarm of people and I was quickly rushed to the Revere Police Department to verify my identity," Ferreira said.
The 33-year-old mother says during her 26 days in custody, she was shuffled to several immigration detention centers across the country.
"It's mindboggling to know that they know where you're going and they're not telling you. I was shuffled from Massachusetts to New Hampshire quickly to Vermont, Vermont to Texas," Ferreira said.
Ultimately ending up in South Louisiana, and described what it was like being apart from her young son for so long.
