WARREN — The city fire department responded to a house fire at 2646 Burton St. SE just before 9:30 p.m. Thursday.
The structure was a 1.5-story wood frame house. The fire originated on the first floor, causing heavy fire damage to the area of origin, according to Warren fire Chief Ken Nussle.
The occupants were able to exit the home safely and no injuries were reported. The estimated loss is $40,000. The Red Cross is assisting the occupants with lodging and clothing.
