Aldi has now opened at the Country Club Shopping Center at the corner of Carter Hill Road and Narrow Lane Road in Montgomery.
It’s opening in the same location where Winn-Dixie had been a longtime grocery fixture.
Winn-Dixie sold some of its stores to Aldi, which is converting them into its own brand. Stores in Selma and Auburn have already been converted into Aldi locations.
In Montgomery, Aldi already has two stores — one at EastChase and the other on Eastern Boulevard.
Winn-Dixie is in the process of exiting Alabama, and closed its Sturbridge store on Vaughn Road earlier this week.
