BEREA, Ohio — Myles Garrett reached out to his Steelers pass-rush rival T.J. Watt this week in the wake of his collapsed lung.

Watt’s older brother, J.J. Watt, posted Friday on X that T.J. suffered a partially collapsed lung following a dry needling treatment at the Steelers facility and underwent surgery to treat it.

He was well enough to leave the hospital, J.J. said, but has been ruled out for Monday night’s game against the Dolphins.

“I reached out to him, but I don’t have his number or anything,” Garrett said Friday during his weekly availability. “But I reached out to him. So I’m hoping for the best. At the end of the day, our teams may be rivals and they might create a rivalry between us, but he’s not my enemy.
