ROCKDALE COUNTY, GA– The proposed shared Rockdale River Trail will undergo adjustments, the Rockdale County Board of Commissioners(BOC) announced on Friday, Dec. 12. The BOC said after hearing from a majority of residents who opposed the plan, the trail will not go through any residential communities.

“The Rockdale County Board of Commissioners wants the community to know we heard you. In response to public feedback received during the recent comment period, the Board has made the decision to adjust the Rockdale River Trail project to better address community concerns,” the board stated in a news release.

County officials reported that a total of 60 comments were received and carefully reviewed, each of which has been made part of the project’s official record. Of these contributions, 58
