Nationwide has issued an update for anyone using bank branches in December. Ahead of Christmas , Nationwide has written to customers over its bank branches, as it keeps them open amid a swathe of closures from rivals.

In correspondence, Nationwide said: "The days may be getting colder, but you'll always find a warm welcome at our branches – which are now staying put on the high street for even longer."

The emails continue: "One of the reasons we are named Which? Banking Brand of the Year 2025 is, unlike many banks, we are committed to keeping our branches open.
