The Salt Lake Stadium crowd went bonkers, as Lionel Messi made his way down the sidelines, acknowledging the thousands who have come out to catch a glimpse of the legend.

Angry fans took to vandalising banners and seats after Messi was forced to stop his lap of honour due to people overcrowding around him.
