UPPER DUBLIN – Derek Brooks couldn’t quite believe it.
For two days after a fourth quarter breakdown and eventual overtime loss to Wissahickon, Brooks had put his Upper Dublin boys’ basketball team through the ringer in practice ahead of Friday night’s SOL Liberty matchup with Abington. The Cardinals, led by junior Horace Jackson IV, did respond and stemmed the Ghosts after their strong start as UD claimed a 53-40 win to pick up its first SOL win of the season.
“That was concerning but at least to be able to bounce back and show the fight, just proud of the boys,” Brooks said. “
