Many times, diving into the pages of newspapers from our past and gathering the most interesting parts to share with you turns out to be pretty challenging – because all of it is interesting. This week has been no exception.

Imagine December of 1924. World War II was still about 15 years from starting. The Great Depression was just around the corner for many unsuspecting families. The average yearly income was just over $2,000, and a new home would cost families around $8,000. While many people had radios in their homes for entertainment, the idea of television was almost absurd at the time – as is evidenced in one of the articles featured this week.
