The first-ever meeting between South Carolina State and Prairie View A&M will take place in the 2025 edition of the Celebration Bowl.

The Bulldogs and Panthers are slated for a noon ET kickoff on Saturday, Dec. 13 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, the home of the NFL's Atlanta Falcons franchise.

The Celebration Bowl — which has a stated mission to "celebrate the heritage, legacy, pageantry and tradition" of historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs) — is considered the de facto national championship of Black college football. It features the winners of the SWAC (Prairie View A&M) and MEAC (South Carolina State).

To make the Celebration Bowl, South Carolina State defeated DeSean Jackson's Delaware State 23-21 in the MEAC Championship game, while Prairie View A&M defeated Jackson State 28-7 in the SWAC Championship game.

A win for South Carolina State would give the Bulldogs their 10th win of the season, while a win for Prairie View A&M would give the Panthers their 11th. Here's how to watch the Celebration Bowl on Saturday:

Prairie View A&M's defense has been on a heater, not allowing more than 10 points in its final three regular-season games before the SWAC championship against Jackson State. While South Carolina State will exceed that in the Celebration Bowl, the Panthers' defense will lead them to their first-ever Celebration Bowl win.
