KENOVA — Santa and Norfolk Southern Corp. brought some early holiday cheer to Kenova on Thursday, as the Christmas Caboose made a stop near Dreamland Pool.

The event was run by Norfolk Southern Kenova District Terminal employees and their families and was free to the public. It gave attendees a chance to meet, take pictures with and get a bag of candy from Santa inside the caboose — which was decked out with holiday decorations — and to get some hot chocolate and cookies at a station set up outside.

There were plenty of photo opportunities, as the outside of the caboose was also decorated, and it was attached to a festive flat car featuring Christmas lights and various inflatable Christmas decorations and a locomotive featuring Christmas lights.
