Yesterday, while Spurs fans were fawning over Victor Wembanyama’s potential return this evening, the front office made a roster change.
Per a Spurs press release:
“The San Antonio Spurs today announced that they have signed guard Kyle Mangas to a Two-Way contract. In a related move, San Antonio has waived Riley Minix.”
Minix, a small forward, is dealing with an undisclosed injury. Mangas, a guard, has taken the spot.
Mangas, already a member of the Austin Spurs, has averaged 18.5 points, 5.0 assists and 2.9 rebounds in 35.8 minutes this season, his second with the Austin Spurs. He’ splayed in 20 total games over his two seasons in Austin.
Minix is expected to continue to play with the Austin Spurs once healthy.
