After a one-game banishment, Mohamed Salah is back for Liverpool.
The Egyptian star was included in Liverpool's squad for Saturday's game against Brighton, though he had to be content with a spot on the bench for the fourth straight league game.
Salah was left off the traveling squad for Liverpool's midweek Champions League win at Inter after his explosive comments last weekend.
After a 3-3 draw against Leeds, Salah let loose on his club and manager Arne Slot in remarks to reporters.
Salah said he felt like he'd been "thrown under the bus" by Liverpool and revealed he had no relationship with Slot.
"I said many times before that I had a good relationship with the manager, and all of a sudden, we don’t have any relationship," he said.
"I don’t know why, but it seems to me, how I see it, that someone doesn’t want me in the club.”
Slot said in his pre-game press conference on Friday that he would decide Salah's status for the Brighton game after speaking with the 33-year-old.
“I will have a conversation with Mo this morning and the outcome of that conversation determines how it will look tomorrow," Slot said.
“What I need is a conversation with him and the next time I speak about Mo should be with him and not in here. You can keep on trying but there’s not much more to say.
“We have spoken a lot in the last week. There were a lot of conversations between his representatives and ours, our representatives and him, between him and me, and today I will speak to him again.“
Adding further drama to the situation is the fact that Salah is due to depart for the Africa Cup of Nations after the game against Brighton.
With speculation surrounding his future increasing, there is a chance that the club legend could play his final game for Liverpool on Saturday.
Salah has long been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia, and talks of a big-money transfer in the winter window could return after the breakdown in relationship between player and club.
“I thought I was going to renew here and end my career here, but this is not according to the plan," Salah said last weekend.
Salah signed a two-year contract extension last season taking him through to the summer of 2027.
